About Disaster Management Film Festival

A Short Animation/AI Film Competition on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) to engage university students, faculty, CSR foundations, and NGOs in creatively raising awareness about disaster preparedness will be organized during the expo

Natural disasters such as landslides, floods, heatwaves, droughts, and earthquakes pose significant risks to India, impacting lives and livelihoods. Raising awareness on preparedness is essential for building a safer, resilient nation, and this contest aims to foster a culture of proactive action and community resilience. This festival will educate and empower communities to understand and mitigate risks associated with natural and man-made disasters. It aims to inculcate creativity and innovation among students, inspire youth to protect themselves and their communities from disaster risks, and encourage the use of storytelling to spread awareness about disaster preparedness effectively.

This will involves short film competitions to raise awareness about disaster risk reduction (DRR) on topics like floods, earthquakes, and heatwaves, encouraging creativity from students, faculty, NGOs, and CSR groups with prizes and national recognition for top entries. This event use various formats (live-action, animation, AI visuals) to promote preparedness, mitigation, and success stories, transforming awareness into action through powerful storytelling
